Ceramicist.  While focusing on pieces made by carbonization, iron glazing and smoltification, Takagi also creates sake cups, tableware, incense containers, etc.  She trained under Takahiro Kondo and became independent in Iga, Mie Prefecture in 2013.  She is an energetic artist who received the silver prize at the International Biennale of Contemporary Ceramics in Cheongju.

While studying textile dyeing at college, Takagi became interested in ceramics and upon graduation, entered the Seto High School for Ceramics in Aichi Prefecture.  Wanting further evolvement, after continuing her studies at Kyoto Municipal Institute of Industrial Technology and Culture and the Specialty School for Ceramics, she became apprenticed to Takahiro Kondo.  She became independent after 5 years and established a studio in Iga.  From large scale pieces conveying a sense of wabi/sabi to smaller tableware pieces, she creates each one in her own studio.
